Our collaboration

KF is a subsidiary of KS Holding AS, and a company develops Bedrekommune and 10FAKTOR software platform to measure perceived quality of life through resident, employee and employee surveys to generate personalised reports needed by local governments. Public sector entities across Norway use Bedrekommune and 10FAKTOR to measure and improve service quality of the public sector.

Amplifyn UX designers collaborated with Bedrekommune to create a user-friendly low-code platform for creating surveys, workflows and custom reporting. With our expertise in UX design, we made the platform easy to use for people from all walks of life.

We designed a citizen-first experience that made complex public service workflows simple, accessible, and usable for everyone.

The business opportunity that forced software modernisation

KF is a subsidiary of KS Holding AS, and a comprehensive supplier of digital products that gives municipal leaders the confidence to govern, and employees the tools to manage their everyday lives effectively with the goal to secure the welfare of the municipality in the future.

Collaboration with Amplifyn started in order to redesign the 10 FAKTOR survey management software application that is used to conduct surveys with citizens of the municipalities.

This software redesign challenge required:

Designing intuitive UX for citizens with varying levels of digital literacy.

Maintaining a simple user experience while supporting a complex back-end.

Creating a culturally resonant UI design specifically for the Norwegian public.

Strict adherence to accessibility and usability guidelines for public service software.

Culturally aligned design partnership

Following the collaboration with Amplifyn's UX designers, Bedrekommune achieved notable improvements in the user experience of the 10FAKTOR low-code survey platform. The Amplifyn UX design team worked in collaboration with KF to design a CX that addressed the key success factors. Which included;

Simpler UI design for everyone

We designed an interface that uses plain language and one-task-per-screen and incorporates persistent visual cues and "help" tooltips to guide non-technical citizens through the surveys without friction.

Design for custom reporting user interface

We understood early that for Bedrekommune, reporting accuracy and data visualisation is as important as creating surveys to make informed decisions. We created a user flow where users can select multiple data points to create rather simple reports.

Culturally resonant Norwegian design system

We adopt a "Scandinavian Minimalist" aesthetic featuring white space, functional typography, and a muted, professional color palette.

Adhering to accessibility and usability guidelines

Conduct "stress-test" sessions with diverse user groups to validate that the software exceeds mandatory government usability benchmarks.

During this collaboration with KF to design the 10FAKTOR survey tool we achieved:

Our impact
